History with its flickering lamp stumbles along the trail of the past, trying to reconstruct its scenes, to revive its echoes, and kindle with pale gleams the passion of former days. ~Winston Churchill

Christmas at the Norweigien hospital in London, WWII. What I find affecting about this picture is that it's clearly staged, with everyone playing their part in the tableau--except that young man in the bed front right, who just stares at the camera. Feels like the Christmas season is in the house, if it's designed like this one. Also the idea of Santa Claus passing by through the window giving gifts is just interesting. Perhaps, we should try doing that one for the next Christmas.
