History with its flickering lamp stumbles along the trail of the past, trying to reconstruct its scenes, to revive its echoes, and kindle with pale gleams the passion of former days. ~Winston Churchill

Assorted Photos II

Finally, a post again! Many apologies-- I do hope I shall be able to post every couple days for the next couple weeks, then we shall be back to our regular schedule!

Another themeless post (here is the first). I come across so many photographs that are fascinatng, beautiful, interesting, or all of the above, and some of them just don't fit into any categories...some of them, I think, never could!

Glad you are back! I hope you enjoyed your holiday. These photos are very cute. I especially like the one with the man feeding the birds. Do you have any old photos from Canada?

These are enchanting (specially the veneer bathing suits, socks as curlers and the bird-feeder), and so is your whole blog.

I saw your celebratory post for 20,000 views - I wish you tenfold that in the upcoming months :) !

[The bathing suit pic source says it's from 1929, there's a typo saying it's from 1939.]

Thank you so much!!! It means a lot to hear that! :)

And thanks for noticing, yes, total typo, it looks so 1920s, too! Fixing it right now. :)
