Leslie Jones was a Boston photojournalist, working for the Boston Herald for 39 years in the early to mid-twentieth century. He (and his friends) also really, wonderfully, liked taking silly pictures.

Those are brilliant! Back in those days, when photographic equipment was complicated and negatives were expensive, it really took either someone wealthy or a professional photographer to even try and take joke pictures... but this guys seems to have turned it into a bit of an art on its own.
