History with its flickering lamp stumbles along the trail of the past, trying to reconstruct its scenes, to revive its echoes, and kindle with pale gleams the passion of former days. ~Winston Churchill

Love these old Christmas Shopping posters from London. They are so fun! The colored versions are really eye catching. I noticed the Underground symbols on the posters from 1919 and 1936. This symbol was later used for the "Mind the Gap" message on the Tube.
