Anna. Woh. Amazing.
What you've done is great.
I was looking for some photos to illustrate a new article on my blog about Eurail (among others) and rail travel by Europe.
The article I'm writing is about "what you miss on a plane", and I found your blog with this great images from LIFE.
And I'm amazed to see that trains in Europe are always one step beyond. The experience is amazing and it was always like that. Ie: a beauty salon on a french train!
Thanks!
Mike
Glad you've enjoyed them! It's a great series for "what you miss on a plane", for sure! Thanks!
Hi Anna,
nice pictures indeed! In case you still want to know where the trainstation in Portugal or Spain is (La Losas de Navas de Riofrio or something), if I am not mistaken it is in Spain, pretty close to Segovia.
The trainstation might still be in use even.
Beautiful pictures! The unidentified train station on one of the last photographs in the series is Amsterdam Central Station. I work there, the hall is called the Abraham Kuypers Hal.
Thank you so much for the additional information! I'll add that.
The red train with a yellow stripe is a Norwegian wagon, and the picture by the waterfall is from Kjosfossen at the Flåm railway in Norway.
Thank you Jostein! I appreciate all the details commenters have given here!!
